About:

I have been working with various databases for 20 years.  My primary focus has been MSSQL but I am also comfortable with Oracle PL/SQL and other SQL languages. 

Most of my work in the past has been with moving data from one application to another (data transformation/conversion/migration). 

I've also built SQL processes to facilitate nightly integrations (pulling data from a 2nd application into the first) and combining the data from multiple applications into data warehouses for combined reporting. I love creating and updating these processes to match your business rules.

My favorite part lately has been documentation.  Frequently, documentation of these processes is neglected during their implementation.  Having good documentation is vital.  I enjoy climbing into someone else's SQL code and translating it into English for anyone to understand.  I'm not referring to pseudo-code (I can do that too) but to language that your executives and users can understand so that they know the source of each calculation and code value.

My experience also covers MSAccess and VBA.  And I am willing to try interpreting any other source code as well.
